Arts Santa Mònica is an art center is located at the bottom of La Rambla, in Barcelona. The exhibition hall where the works are displayed is a ring that surrounds a covered cloister, rhythmed by the balconies that give onto the wide emptiness.
The works of Jordi Bernadó about the “interiors” of the Ramblas have been hung in the furthest corners, while those of Massimo Vitali, suspended outside the space, are contemplated from the balconies. In this exhibition, both the inside and the outside of the space, as well as the inside and outside of La Rambla, have been used to position viewers in a radical way so that they look at what the artists have actually put in the photographs.
